Chris Bangle Associates has announced a new design contest called 'Illustrate the Future.' The competition is open to all design students across all design disciplines and coincides with the launch of Managing Director, Chris Bangle's new book. "I have written a fiction book about Car Design and the prologue takes place 25 years in the future," says Bangle. "It contains some concepts I have been working on, and this contest is to see what YOU would make of them."
Bangle's novel explores the state of affairs in the car design field and also expresses his concerns about the culture future generations of designers will inherit.
Why would anyone be willing to spend more than two months every summer crisscrossing the desert in the Southwest? Well, if you're spy photographer Brenda Priddy, it's because you're hunting Rabbits, and sports cars, and SUVs and occassionally minivans. Production has now started on the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport
But that looks set to pick up with the latest Veyron, the Grand Sport, which has commenced production at the Bugatti factory in Molsheim this week. And to celebrate that fact, Bugatti has had a bit of a get together of Veyron owners to play with pre-production cars in Cannes this weekend, which also gives them the excuse to release some new images of the Grand Sport. Apart from Limited Edition Veyrons (like the Veyron Bleu Centenaire or the Veyron L’Edition Centenaire) the Veyron Grand Sport will be the mainstay of production from now on.
